Name ~ Meredith (mair-uh-dith). Mere and
SpiffyMere work too.
Birthday/Age ~ April 23, 1986. Currently 21 years old, but
very young at heart. I see no reason to grow up too fast...
Home ~ Baltimore (County not City), Maryland, USA. I've lived here all my life and used to like it.
Traits ~ Always sleepy. Dependent. Easily amused. Giggly. Greedy. Impulsive. Klutzy. Loathes criticism. Materialistic. Morally mature. Nosey. Overly emotional. Painfully honest. Persuasive. Quiet. Sensitive. Shy. Spoiled and proud (well,
formerly). Sweetly innocent. Too much of a conscience. Un-opinionated.
Looks ~ "White American." 5'8" tall. 130 pounds. Greenish-hazel eyes. Hair that's straight, thick, shoulder length, brown with highlights and almost always up. (I'm convinced that I look like an entirely different person in pictures, so that's why you don't see much of me on the site.)
Style ~ I'm a casual girlie. Jeans, tees, hoodies, and polos make me happy. Dressing up can be fun, but I just don't get many chances to pull that off. I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to accessories and jewelry. As for makeup, I'm all about the
Bare Escentuals.
Hobbies & Interests ~ Flamingos, palm trees, and other tropical things. Going to faraway malls (like
King of Prussia). Laughing at random things. Shopping or just spending money in general (usually via Visa). SLEEPING. Spending time with my pets. Swimming in my inground pool in the summer. Traveling (especially when airports and hotels are involved). Wasting time online (here,
FaceBook,
Neopets, etc). Watching
QVC for entertainment value and occasionally to buy things (my lovely little obsession since age 6). All the various other goodness that happens to amuse me...
Pets ~ Abby (Lutino Cockatiel, December 1993 - August 2000), Weaty (Gray Cockatiel, October 1994 - Present), Lashayah (Nubian Goat, April 1999 - July 1999),
Daphne (Dachshund, September 2000 - Present),
Natalie (Miniature Dachshund, May 2007 - Present)
Education ~ Received a high school diploma a year early (2003) thanks to my hatred of traditional high school leading me to a correspondence/online program. (I basically did "busy work" in the wee AM hours. It was glorious.) Took a year off before starting at
Towson University. Commuter student with about a 15 mile drive. Computer Information Systems major. Current GPA of 3.698. Graduating in May 2008!!! No desire to go onto grad school.
Job ~ I'm a student employee in the general merchandise department of my university's store. It's my first job and I've been working there since June 2005. I only got the job because I'm my brother's sister, but I'm okay with that. I do random tasks with clothing, gifts, supplies, "pantry" stuff, and pretty much everything that isn't a textbook. My co-workers are highly entertaining people and they're the reason I've stayed this long. I've recently fallen out of love with my job which is good because I'm graduating and will have to leave anyway.
Future ~ I don't know
exactly what I want to do in life. I've never known. I guess I just want to finish college and end up with some kind of well paying career. Working for
The Q would be swell. I also hope to find myself a husband someday. People keep telling me that he's out there and he'll come along when I least expect it. *continues waiting* Basically, I just want the typical things almost everyone wants in life...to be happy, successful, and loved. Let's just hope it all works out for me...
Random Facts ~ I drive a Hyundai Tiburon named
Tibby. I've been to 3 "foreign" countries (Canada, England, France), 14 US states (CA, CT, DE, FL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OR, PA, RI, VA, WA, WV) and DC. I suffer from the fear of admitting to liking music (100% serious). I was baptized Lutheran (Christian), but have never been much of a church-goer. My ancestors hailed from England, Ireland, Italy, Poland, and Scotland. I see no legitimate reason to ever consume alcohol. I'm politically unaffiliated and despise having to discuss politics. My
handwriting looks like
this. I can't remember what got me into webdesign, but I started in early 1999.
