Due to what’s being referred to as the Snowpocalypse, I’m spending my Friday night at home. It had to go and ruin my plans with that certain someone from the two previous Fridays. *sigh* He was going to go with me to my favorite Maryland mall, which houses the closest SonyStyle store, to get my new laptop. It would have been an adorable mini-road trip, but noooo we’re under a state of emergency! Don’t you worry, we shall reschedule!

I’ve had a sudden change of heart in another area. Last week I was very “I Work” and now…not so much! I’m rather territorial over a certain part of the store and this week it was turned over to people in a different department. I took it personally at first…I felt like I had just been outsourced to India! lol. There’s a decent reason behind it and it’s just another part of the whole redistribution of tasks thanks to the new director. Maybe I’ll start up the job search again…or maybe I’ll go back on my “I wanna stay forever!” kick. We’ll see.

Back to the whole laptop thing. It’s actually not a spontaneous purchase. Bluey is getting on my nerves more and more and I’ve been planning to get one with my tax refund. Today was the day my federal was deposited and I got the state on Monday. Almost a combined $1,400 again this year! I was a little worried because I made double last year thanks to my summer job, but it worked in my favor. Wanna hear something sad? The difference between the 9 months at the job I have now and the 3 months with the summer job was an embarrassingly small gap of $222.27! The majority of those 9 months could be considered a labor of love, so it’s okay.

For those of you around my parts, hope you survive the storm! I’m a prime candidate for Stir Craziness and/or Cabin Fever. This is going to suck like nothing has ever sucked before!
